Number 28: Eat food from a food truck

Food trucks have hit the St. Louis streets big time! In fact I joined Twitter so I could get updates on the where the cupcake truck would be.

Most food trucks are only out during the day on week days (and mostly downtown), which is not ideal for my schedule. However, Sauce magazine has hosted several Food Truck Fridays events in Tower Grove park. This event allows food trucks to come and park in Tower Grove park for the evening so that everyone can try out a food truck. Often food trucks running into parking issues so finding a spot can be difficult.

The one bad thing about going to this event is that there are so many trucks which means you have to make a decision on where to go and what to eat. We stopped by the Cha Cha truck for some street tacos and then we moved onto to Holy Crepe for a BLT crepe. Of course I had to stop by the cupcake truck and bring home some goodies. Everything was excellent and fun way to have a dinner date.
We had fun looking at what the trucks had to offer and trying out their food. The event was a big hit, people come and bring lawn chairs and coolers and just hang out and eat. I would definitely go back – and plan to hang out for a while.
